"The main question is to discuss how we can implement the Minsk agreements, how to make Russia and the militias cease fire and start withdrawing heavy weapons. Currently we see that the shelling is not stopping, artillery is not being withdrawn, and we look forward to tomorrow's meeting, so that our partners and Ukraine can achieve and fulfill its duties that it accepted when signing the Minsk agreements," Evgeny Perebiynis said on 112 Ukraina television channel.
Earlier this month, deputy commander of the Donetsk militia Eduard Basurin said the withdrawal of heavy artillery in east Ukraine's Donbas region will start on Tuesday, February 24.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will fly to Paris to meet with his counterparts from Ukraine, France and Germany on Tuesday, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti on Monday.
"We confirm that the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry will participate in a 'Normandy Four' meeting on the ministerial level. The minister plans to fly to Paris on Monday night, straight after the debates conclude in the UN Security Council," the source said.
