PARIS (Sputnik) — Media reports into the death of Martin Bouygues, CEO of the French construction and media conglomerate Bouygues, are false, a chairwoman of a French news channel owned by the company announced Saturday.
"I [met] Martin Bouygues 10 minutes ago. He is well and is surprised by this announcement," Catherine Nayl from LCI channel was quoted as saying in the network's Twitter post.
Media reports emerged earlier on Saturday that Bouygues, 62, passed away in his residence in the Orne department in northwestern France.
LCI channel is part of TF1 Group, which is a subsidiary of Bouygues.
