In the latest edition of Gideon’s Spies: The Secret History of the Mossad, author Gordon Thomas claims that Mossad enlists the services of linguistic specialists in Arabic, Urdu and Pashto to help decipher online material published by jihadist groups and sent to their operatives through popular web sites like Reddit and eBay, The Jerusalem Post reports.
Thomas writes that these groups often use pornographic material “to conceal documents and orders for the next target.”
Uncovering a specific plan abroad the Mossad alerts the relevant intelligence agencies who then use the information to thwart the plot.
The book also claims it was Mossad that was behind Stuxnet computer worm that severely damaged software used by Iranian nuclear engineers.
In addition, worried by the perceived Iranian threat, the Saudis teamed up with Mossad reportedly agreeing to let the Israelis use the country’s airspace in attacking the Islamic Republic.
