As a rift grows between the Israeli prime minister and Meir Dagan, a former chief of Israel’s national intelligence agency Mossad, Dagan slammed Netanyahu in an interview on Israeli television, calling his speech to US Congress “bullshit.”

In a preview from the interview, which will air Friday on Israel’s Channel 2, Dagan muttered the expletive under his breath in response to Netanyahu’s discussion of Iran’s progress in their nuclear program, the Times of Israel reported.

He went on to say that the prime minister’s policy on Palestinians puts the Jewish Zionist dream in jeopardy.

“The reality being championed by Netanyahu and [Jewish Home party leader Naftali] Bennett will result in a bi-national state. I think that’s a catastrophe,” Dagan told Channel 2. “In the Palestinian arena, [Netanyahu’s] policy will lead … to apartheid,” he added, claiming this would “end the Zionist dream.”

Dagan will be holding a rally in Tel Aviv on Saturday to push for a change in government.

Many have shown their support on social media for the former head of intelligence.

“For 45 years I have served this country — all of them dedicated to safeguarding its security as a Jewish and Zionist state. I don’t want that dream to disappear,” Dagan said.

In response, Netanyahu’s Likud party accused Dagan of manipulating the public, calling his commentary “wrong and misleading,” and emphasizing how tirelessly Netanyahu has worked for Israeli security.

Handing over land to the Palestinians, the Likud statement read, would mean that territories ceded to them would “come under the control of radical Islam and terror groups backed by Iran tomorrow.”
