GENEVA (Sputnik) — The Russian Economic and Financial Forum in Switzerland (FINAS) will convene in Geneva on Sunday to give its insight into the Russian economy and the global financial stability.
It will also talk about the aftermath of decreasing energy prices and international sanctions against Russia.
The meeting will be attended by Russia's Ambassador in Switzerland, Alexander Golovin, and his Swiss counterpart in Russia, Pierre Helg, as well as a group of Russian and Swiss business executives, lawmakers and other dignitaries.
Russia's economy has been experiencing an economic downturn since 2014, caused by a global drop in oil prices and the fallout effect of Western sanctions. According to the country's central bank, this trend is likely to continue into the first quarter of 2016.
