"Yes, observers from the OSCE mission plan to visit the areas today where the heavy artillery has been stationed after its withdraw from the line of contact," the source said.
East Ukraine's breakaway regions of Donetsk and Luhansk reported they completed the pullout of heavy artillery from line of contact on March 1, in compliance with Minsk agreements toward Ukrainian reconciliation.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak announced that Kiev has also withdrawn all of its heavy weaponry.
The arms withdrawal and establishment of the buffer zone was one of the key points of the agreement signed between Kiev forces and independence supporters in February in the Belarus capital. Along with the pullout, the deal included the implementation of a February 15 ceasefire.
Kiev forces launched a military operation against pro-independence fighters in the east of Ukraine in April 2014.
