CAIRO (Sputnik) — According to the news outlet, the skirmish took place at a checkpoint on Saudi territory.
Saudi Arabia is leading an international coalition of countries conducting airstrikes on Houthi positions in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa. The strikes were launched after ousted Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, currently in hiding outside of the country, asked for military support from the Arab League states on March 25.
Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Morocco, Sudan, Pakistan, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are also taking part in the strikes.
Earlier on Thursday, Houthi political council member Daifullah Shami suggested that Houthi forces could attack Saudi Arabia if airstrikes continued.
