French network TV5 Monde's channels were hacked on Wednesday night with 11 channels, the network's website and social media accounts knocked out. The hackers posted documents on the channel's Facebook page, which presumably belong to the relatives of French troops who participated in operations against Islamic State group in Iraq.
"The investigation is launched. We have been faced with determined terrorists, and we are determined to fight them."
In his turn, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who also visited the TV5 Monde's office, said that all measures are being taken to
"find the perpetrators, punish them, restore the broadcasting and avoid future similar cyberattacks that could threaten freedom of expression."

The Islamic State is an extremist Sunni militant group in control of large portions of Syria and Iraq. It is notorious for its many human-rights atrocities, including on-camera executions of foreign hostages, later posted online.
