The FPD responded to a domestic dispute at 420 Warford in Ferguson. The suspect barricaded himself in the house after shooting his brother in the head. The victim stayed alert and has been transported to a local hospital, according to local media reports.
The Saint Charles County, Missouri police tactical team assisted the FPD during negotiations with the suspect.
Ferguson has been at the center of protests since summer 2014, after Michael Brown, an unarmed African American teenager, was fatally shot by white police officer Darren Wilson on August 9.
