MOSCOW (Sputnik) — International Public Opinion Research Project displayed interest in acces to alternative views on major international events, including Russian media point of view.
The Sputnik.Polls survey was conducted by ICM Research on March 20 — April 9, 2015 in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the United States and Greece. Five thousand and one persons of different ages, sex and from various regions took part in the survey (1,001 people in Greece, in other countries — 1,000 people).
The highest request for a portrait of a multipolar world in media showed residents in Greece — 81% of respondents said they would be interested in having that opportunity. Interest in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany is also quite high: the majority of respondents (57 percent in the US and the UK and 55 percent in Germany) indicated that they are interested in alternative opinions and coverage of world events, in particular from the Russian media. In France, almost exactly half of the country’s population (49%) expressed this view.
