MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The BRICS ministers of health will meet in Geneva on Tuesday to discuss plan of activities for a Russian chairmanship year in the area of public health, the Russian Health Ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.
BRICS comprises Russia, Brazil, India, China and South Africa.
“The public health year will be opened with a meeting of BRICS ministers, which will take place in Geneva on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly, which is traditionally held in May and gathers health officials from the entire world,” Oleg Salagai told RIA Novosti.
The meeting will be preliminary, as the main one will be held in October in Moscow, according to the spokesperson.
