MOSCOW, May 19 (Sputnik) – Russia’s energy giant Gazprom is not planning on drilling for any gas on the Arctic Shelf in 2015, a Gazprom senior executive manager in charge of gas extractions said Tuesday.
“There is no drilling planned on the Arctic Shelf in 2015, but 3D seismoprospecting work in an area of 10,000 square kilometers [3,861 square miles] is planned,” Vsevolod Cherepanov said during a press conference in the company’s headquarters.
