Polish opposition candidate Andrzej Duda has officially won presidential elections in Poland in a runoff vote, the election authorities announced on Monday.

Poland's President-Elect Pledges to Become 'Non-Partisan' Candidate
WARSAW (Sputnik) According to the final count by Poland’s State Electoral Committee, Duda garnered 51.55 percent of the votes, while incumbent President Bronislaw Komorowski won 48.45 percent of votes in the second voting round on Sunday, with 55.34 percent of voter turnout.

The inauguration ceremony has been set for August 6.
