Since Friday, 11 people have been shot in different incidents that left five dead, according to police reports.
At about 11:51 p.m., one man was fatally shot in the head in the 1900 block of Willhelm St. in Carrolton Ridge. A second man found in the vicinity was shot in the neck. As police were investigating the area, they found a third man suffering a shot to the head.
Then, on Saturday at about 5:40 a.m., a male was found with gunshot wounds to his leg and thigh in the 1800 block of Edmondson Avenue in Harlem Park. He was taken to a local hospital, where two other men walked in seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. One was shot in the thigh and the other had been shot in the ankle.
Just after 9 a.m., police found a fatally shot male lying in an alley in the 100 block of S. Augusta Avenue.
At about 1:33 p.m., officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the waist in the intersection of Hollins and Payson Street. She then died in an area hospital.
Later at about 2:17 p.m., a male suffering a gunshot wound to the chest died in a hospital after being found in the 2800 block of St. Lo Drive.
Finally, at about 2:53 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 3200 block of E. Northern Parkway, where they found a man suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
