WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On May 30, Sherman will join US Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva, Switzerland, for meetings with Iranian officials. She will, however, later continue negotiations in Vienna, according to the statement.
“Sherman and the US negotiating team will travel on May 27 to Vienna, Austria, to take part in the EU-coordinated P5+1 nuclear negotiations with Iran,” the statement read on Wednesday.
On April 2, Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers comprising of the United States, France, Russia, China and the United Kingdom plus Germany, agreed on a framework for the deal to ensure peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program.
The deadline for the final comprehensive agreement with Tehran is set for June 30, 2015.
