MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A fresh round of nuclear negotiation between P5+1 mediators and Iran will begin in Vienna on May 26 with talks between EU Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs, Helga Schmid, and Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, a high ranking Iranian diplomatic source told RIA Novosti Friday.
"Abbas Araghchi will meet on Tuesday with Helga Schmid. The [P5+1] political directors are most likely to join them on Thursday," the source said.
The diplomat added that "the sides are continuing to work on the final agreement concerning the Iranian nuclear program."
Iran and P5+1 group of international negotiators, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, France and Germany have been working to reach a comprehensive deal to guarantee the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear energy program since November 2013.
On April 2, 2015, Iran and a group of six international negotiators, reached a breakthrough political framework agreement on Iran's nuclear program following marathon talks in the Swiss city of Lausanne.
The deadline for signing the final comprehensive deal is set for July 1, 2015.
