MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia will launch mass production of gas turbine engines for the Navy in 2018, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said at an economic forum in Vladimir on Friday.
"We will start the production [of gas turbine engines] by the end of 2017, and in 2018 we are launching mass production."
The Russian deputy prime minister added that a program to substitute 186 military industrial products that had previously been imported from Ukraine was approved in July 2014.
