WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — President Barack Obama’s inner circle in the White House have created a parallel universe in which everything in the world is at peace and everyone can be trusted, US presidential candidate Rick Perry stated during his presidential announcement speech on Thursday.
“His White House loyalists, they construct an alternative universe where ISIS [ISIL] is contained, that Ramadi is merely a setback, where the nature of the enemy can’t be acknowledged for fear of causing offense,” Perry said.
On Thursday, Perry announced his intention in Dallas, Texas to seek the Republican nomination for US president.
If elected, Perry pledged he would rescind on the first day of his presidency any nuclear deal with Iran that recognizes the country’s receivership of a nuclear weapon.
Perry concluded it is time the United States had “clear sighted, proven leadership” with a record of accomplishments rather than a president like Obama who was elected based on media acclaim.
Perry is a former presidential candidate from the 2012 Republican nomination race. He served as the 47th Governor of Texas from December 21, 2000 to January 20, 2015.
