WARSAW (Sputnik) — The next NATO summit is due to take place on July 8-9, 2016, in Poland’s capital.

At the Wroclaw Global Forum, Siemoniak said that it would be excellent news if invitations could be sent from Warsaw to Macedonia and Montenegro.

Both former Yugoslav republics are currently seeking membership in the 28-country military alliance. The last states that joined the alliance in 2009 were Albania and Croatia.
