At least, this is what Robert Vicino, an entrepreneur who bought the storage complex, promises. The bunker is hardly distinguishable from the best five star hotels and can withstand any tribulation there is: from horrifying natural disasters to a biological, chemical or even nuclear attack.
To give you a basic idea of a dream escape Vicino offers: individual shelters can have a pool or a theater of their own, should the owner wish to install them. The complex also offers a wine cellar, fancy restaurants and a bakery. Needless to say, it is fully self-sufficient in terms of water and power generation.
These accommodations are unlikely to come cheap. Those wishing to secure a place in an establishment like this will have to pay for the apartment itself, as well as cover managing and staffing costs.
After all, the Maya calendar was not as precise as some hoped and others feared. And no one else seems to be offering any specific date.
Vicino, the founder and CEO of Vivos, has been in the life-saving business for doomsday scenario for some time. The company offers an array of other shelters in other secluded places of the world.
