Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko missed the 10th annual GLOBSEC Global Security Forum in Slovakia this weekend, during which he was supposed to be give a presentation, The Ukrainian Independent Information Agency (UNIAN) reported.
Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko, along with a dozen European leaders, was expected to attend the summit that tackles rising security challenges in the Slovak capital of Bratislava.
Poroshenko, however, didn't show up at the summit, forcing organizers to change the event's agenda and speakers' list at the last minute. The Ukrainian leader neither called in nor sent a formal notification to warn the summit organizers about his absence.
Earlier this month, Poroshenko cancelled his invitation to the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. The government of Azerbaijan wasn't impressed by the Ukrainian President's erratic behavior.
Rumors about Poroshenko's alleged drinking problem appeared in the media last week. Israeli news agency Artuz 10 reported that the Ukrainian leader was "binge-drinking for a week," citing a senior official in Ukraine's parliament.
