WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has announced he will seek the 2016 US Republican presidential nomination, the governor said on his Twitter account on Wednesday.

“I’m running for President of the United States of America. Join me,” Jindal said.

Jindal’s announcement adds him to the growing list of nearly a dozen other Republican presidential candidates, pitting him against billionaire Donald Trump and younger brother of a former US president, Jeb Bush, among others.
