Recent acts of terror in Paris and Copenhagen, as well as the crisis in the Middle East and Ukraine, have put security issues back at the top of the political agenda.

Security specialists and MEPs are calling for an EU-wide Passenger Name Record (PNR), a measure which would require more systematic collection, use and retention of data on international airline passengers.

PNR, or Passenger Name Record – is being touted as an efficient new measure to tackle crime and terrorism. However, many are concerned about such a system jeopardizing rights to privacy and data protection.

Is there any proof that data retention stops terrorism? How do you feel about a computer deciding if you are a criminal threat or not? On this edition of Looking Forward co-hosts Svetlana Ekimenko and acclaimed Russian writer Victor Erofeyev are joined by Rafi Sela, the president of AR Challenges, a global transportation security consultancy from Israel, to discuss the contentious PNR.
