P5+1, Tehran Focus on Technical, Legal Aspects of Iran Nuclear Deal
VIENNA (Sputnik) Tehran and the group of six international mediators including the United States, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany, are in talks to reach a comprehensive deal on Iran’s controversial nuclear program.

The negotiators "do not stand still" and are progressing in a positive way, according to the source at the negotiations.

Earlier in the day, anonymous diplomatic sources close to the Iranian nuclear negotiations were quoted by the media as saying that several key and "the most difficult" issues on the talks are yet to be resolved, and the June 30 deadline might be missed.

Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi told Sputnik on Friday that the negotiations were held in an atmosphere of good feeling and that all the sides were trying to do their best.

The West has accused Tehran of disguising the development of nuclear weapons under their nuclear energy program. Anti-Iran sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union banned sales of Iranian oil products to the European Union and some parts of Asia, and also prohibited the West’s nuclear cooperation with Iran.

In April, Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers worked out a political framework deal on the Iranian nuclear program.

By June 30, Iran and its six co-negotiators are due to reach a full-fledged agreement, securing the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for the gradual lifting of sanctions.
