The P5+1 group of international negotiators will continue work on the text of a final Iran nuclear deal later on Sunday, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said.

VIENNA (Sputnik) — The EU foreign policy chief expressed hope that the work on the text would be over in the coming days.

"Our negotiators will continue to work tonight on the text [of the deal]," Mogherini told reporters adding that talks on the ministerial level will resume as soon as the text is finalized.

"We stick to the [June 30] deadline," Mogherini said adding that there would be no long-term extension of the talks. "Extension is going to be days, not more," she said.

There is no renegotiation of the Lausanne agreements during the current round of talks on the Iran nuclear issue in Vienna, the EU foreign policy chief said.

"We are not renegotiating things that were said in Switzerland in April. We have found solid political agreements… We have still talks on some of the points of that understanding and how that will be translated into the final text," Mogherini said.

She added that the ministers would come back to Vienna in a couple of days to discuss these issues.

In April, Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators, comprising the United States, China, France, Russia and the United Kingdom plus Germany, reached a political framework agreement in the Swiss city of Lausanne, which stipulates that Tehran cut back uranium enrichment activities and decrease the number of centrifuges in exchange for sanctions relief.

The deadline for a final comprehensive deal between the P5+1 and Iran is set for June 30, 2015.
