The aim of creditors in the negotiations with the Greek government from the start was to conduct an economic and financial strangulation of Greece. They wanted to lead the country into chaos and then overthrow the government and return Antonis Samaras to power. But their plan failed, according to publisher and chief editor of ‘Athens Courier’ Fedor Ignatiadis, RIA Novosti reported.
In his opinion, Tsipras has a long-term plan of action that is clearly progressing, and soon Greece will have early elections.
"During the elections they wanted to bring Syriza to power for three to four months, conduct negotiations but not give money. They wanted to completely drain the economy, which was done, organize chaos, and then openly punish Greece with closed banks, and in total panic hold elections and throw out the left forever," the analyst said.
"He had to sign third memorandum, but did not. Instead he shifted it to the left-wing government, which, of course, refused. Europe pretended to be willing to negotiate and for five months allegedly they did, but at the most critical moment, when Greece went to considerable concessions, Europe toughened measures in the memorandum."
The opponents underestimate good relations that Greece has with Arabs, Jews, Iranians, Russians and Chinese.
"There are attempts to isolate us but so what? The Qataris, Russian or Chinese will not ask for permission to invest in the Greek economy. The Greeks have a great democratic tradition, with Greeks isolation will not work," concluded Ignatiadis.
