VIENNA (Sputnik), Anastasia Levchenko – The text of a comprehensive nuclear deal on Iran is still being drafted by political directors with gaps remaining, an Iranian diplomatic source told Sputnik on Wednesday.
The P5+1 group of negotiators are attempting to iron out the remaining sticking points, said to be the timing of sanction relief and monitoring mechanisms.
"Up to now, there is no agreement on anything, until everything is agreed as a package," the source said.
He explained that the text, which at the moment "has a lot of brackets," is being considered by political directors.
"It doesn't mean that everything has been finalized. It means that things went to a new level," he elaborated.
After the political directors, the ministers themselves will decide upon the places in the agreement "in brackets."
Finally, the text will go to the presidents' desks, he added.
French and UK foreign ministers are expected to arrive in Vienna on Thursday, the source confirmed. They make up the two of the P5+1 group, which also includes Russia, the United States, China and Germany.
EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy Federica Mogherini will also travel to the Austrian capital on Thursday to join the talks.
