He stressed that lifting of sanctions would provide for more possibilities to cooperate with Iran, but noted that sanction relief was part of the ongoing talks in Vienna.
"We all hope that Iran nuclear talks would be successful because we think it would be helpful not only for the region, but it would bring peace, security and stability to the whole world," Kurz said.
The Austrian capital Vienna currently hosts talks on Tehran’s controversial nuclear program.
The P5+1 group of international mediators — Russia, the United States, China, France, Britain and Germany — and Tehran have to reach a deal on ensuring the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program until July 7 in exchange for partial lifting of international economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
