MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in the Austrian capital of Vienna for the talks on the Iranian nuclear program, Russia's Embassy in Vienna said Sunday.
"Minister Lavrov arrived in Austria 4 Iran Talks Vienna planned 4 tomorrow [Monday]," the embassy said on its Twitter page.
Vienna currently hosts talks on Tehran’s nuclear program. The deadline for the agreement was set on July 7.
Iran and the international negotiators, comprising Russia, the United States, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany, have to reach a comprehensive deal, securing the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.
In April, the negotiators and Iran reached a political framework deal on the issue in Switzerland.
