WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Sanders, an independent senator, is improving in the polls as he rails against the Democratic establishment embodied by Clinton.
“We are worried about him [Sanders], he is a force, he will be a serious force for the campaign, and I do not think that will diminish,” Palmieri said on the talk show “Morning Joe.”
A recent CNN/WBUR New Hampshire primary poll put Sanders 8 points behind Clinton.
“It is going to be a slog, but I feel like she [Clinton] will win,” Palmieri said.
A Quinnipiac University poll conducted last week put Clinton at 52 percent and Sanders at 33 percent support in the key swing state of Iowa. In early May, the poll showed Clinton had 60 percent support and Sanders just 15 percent.
