UN (Sputnik) — The UN Security Council on Monday adopted a resolution which places Iran's nuclear program under the international control which will ensure its peaceful nature.
All five permanent members of the UN Security Council, as well as ten non-permanent members, voted in favor for the resolution.
The document was submitted last week to the UN Security Council by the US delegation and is based on the agreement of Iran and the P5+1 group of international negotiators, namely namely China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany, which was reached on July 14 in Vienna after almost 20 months of negotiations.
