Ashley Kaufmann, 30, an art teacher at Port Jervis High School, NY, has been charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, New York State Police said.
Police stated the woman allegedly had sexual relationship with a 16-year-old high-school student.
According to the troopers, the forcible touching charge stems from physical contact and the student being incapable of giving consent to the physical contact due to being a minor.
After being arrested, Kaufman was released and issued an appearance ticket to court August 5.
Earlier this month, Jennifer Fichter, 31, Florida English teacher, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for 37 counts of sex with three 17-year-old students.
