NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — The Indian Home Ministry on Wednesday referred to as "rubbish" the recently emerged document, allegedly belonging to the ISIL jihadist group, which contains plans to trigger a conflict in India, a ministry’s spokesman said Wednesday.
“It is rubbish. The document, if reports are to be believed, is the handiwork of senseless ISIL men,” M A Ganapathy said on Wednesday.
On Saturday, senior sources in the Indian Home Ministry told Sputnik that the Indian security services have launched a special operation to protect Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a possible threat from ISIL militants during the August 15 Independence Day celebrations in New Delhi.
The ISIL controls large parts of Iraq and Syria, and is notorious for committing numerous human rights atrocities and killings.
