WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The New Hampshire Department of Safety’s Public Information Officer Michael Todd confirmed to local ABC affiliate WMUR of the injuries and fatalities in the town of Lancaster late on Monday.

The New England Cable News reported up to 250 people were initially trapped under the tent where a Florida-based company was staging a circus show at the local fairgrounds.
Local and state police responded to the scene of the incident and the state emergency operations center has opened to offer assistance.
The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm watch across New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine on Monday.
