MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Washington is preparing to create a joint commerce chamber with Tehran, IRNA news agency reported Tuesday, citing the head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
Mohsen Jalalpour stated that under the Iranian law, Tehran may establish a Chamber of Commerce for work with the United States two months after the formation of a similar entity by the US side.
In mid-July, Iran and six international negotiators signed a historic agreement to ensure the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for the relief of sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union and the United Nations.
The deal is yet to be reviewed by the US Congress pending a September vote on the nuclear agreement.
