Analysts are pulling their hair out in frustration trying to unwrap the riddle of what’s happening in American domestic politics today. Sanders was the first challenger to step up to Hillary Clinton, who up until then many people assumed would be coronated with the nomination. But Sanders, even with his open and proud socialist leanings, surprised many by garnering tens of thousands of enthusiastic supporters at many of his campaign stops, making some wonder whether the formerly fringe politician has somehow become even more popular than the former First Lady herself at this stage of the primaries.
For his seemingly unexplainable success and the allure that keeps drawing more crowds to his side, Bernie Sanders remains the man in the news for the last weeks.
