“Several artillery shells landed on Dneprodzerzhinskaya Street and several went off near the local television center, smashing windows and sending residents running for cover in buildings and basements,” Donetsk News Agency reported.
There have been no immediate reports of anyone killed or injured at this hour.
Nearly 7,000 people have been killed and many more injured since the Kiev authorities launched their so-called “antiterrorist operation” in Donbass in April 2014.
