Hungary Seeks German Embassy Help to Inform Railway Station Migrants
MOSCOW (Sputnik) Earlier in the day, Hungarian authorities opened the station's doors to hundreds of undocumented migrants, who have been crowded outside the station for days, demanding to be allowed to travel to Germany.

"Platform announcer has just said all international trains from Budapest station have been canceled," Flattery, who is senior Europe producer for the BBC, wrote on Twitter.

According to media reports, hundreds of people have boarded stationary trains in the terminal. The migrants are demanding that the trains to be allowed to depart for Germany.

On Tuesday, Hungarian authorities closed Budapest’s main train terminal to migrants in an attempt to prevent them from traveling to neighboring European countries. The decision came after some 2,500 refugees arrived in southern Germany by train from Hungary and Austria on Monday night.

Hungary is being used as a gateway to wealthier EU countries by thousands of migrants. As a result, the country is experiencing an unprecedented influx of undocumented immigrants. Budapest estimates that over 156,000 migrants have illegally entered the country since the beginning of 2015.
