Since the expo’s introduction in 1999, the number of exhibits has increased to nearly 2,500 military units from some 50 countries.
Attendance at RAE-2013 exceeded the 20,000 mark, including over 460 foreign nationals as part of 40 delegations.
Visitors can expect to see Russia’s state-of-the-art Armata tank, built by the host city’s Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) machine building company, on display at RAE-2015. The three-member vehicle includes a 125-mm smoothbore cannon and 7.62 mm remote-control machine gun as its main armament.
The expo will also showcase the Koalitsia-SV self-propelled howitzer, a 152-mm artillery system designed to destroy tactical nuclear weapons, armored weapons and fortifications, among other targets.
At least 10 countries, including South Korea, Italy, France and Turkey, will be exhibiting at RAE-2015.
