MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Barack Obama has not been scheduled in the near future, the Kremlin spokesman added.
"As far as I know, there are no plans to hold a telephone conversation in the near future. At the same time, of course, the Russian side continues to remain open to dialogue on the most crucial issues," Dmitry Peskov told reporters in response to a question on whether Putin is going to discuss anti-terrorism efforts or the recent closure of Bulgarian airspace to Russian aircraft with Obama.
The news came after a diplomatic source in Athens told RIA Novosti last week that the US Embassy had appealed to the Greek government to prohibit Russian flights from using its airspace, however, Athens refused to do so.
