"We are offering 5,000 nights to refugees who need it," Stordalen, who owns the Nordic Choice Hotels chain, wrote on Twitter.
I @Nordic_Choice har vi en kultur for å bidra. Derfor gir vi nå 5000 gratis gjestedøgn til flyktninger som trenger det.

UDI, the Norwegian migration board, said it will consider Stordalen’s initiative if there are not enough spots in local asylum centers.
Earlier it was reported that in 2015 the number of migrants coming to Norway had reached 11,000. The number is close to the record high of 1994 when thousands of Bosnians fleeing the Balkan War arrived in the country.
According to UDI, the number of asylum seekers could reach up to 16,000 by the end of 2015.
Europe is currently struggling to cope with a large-scale refugee influx. According to the European Union’s external border agency Frontex, over 340,000 migrants have entered several border European countries since the beginning of 2015.
