LUGANSK (Sputnik) — The self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) began to withdraw heavy artillery of less than 100mm caliber from the line of contact in eastern Ukraine on Saturday, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
On Tuesday, an agreement on the withdrawal of weapons of such caliber as well as tanks from the line of contact in the country’s eastern regions, was initialed in Minsk.
On Wednesday, Leader of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky, along with Kiev and Donetsk leaders, signed an agreement on weapons pullout in the Ukraine's eastern region of Donbas.
