“In Syria, coalition military forces conducted three strikes using remotely piloted and fighter aircraft,” the statement said. “Separately in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 21 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using bomber, fighter, attack, ground-attack, remotely piloted aircraft, and rocket artillery.”
Three airstrikes near Syrian cities Aleppo, Washiyah and Mara, carried out on October 15, hit two ISIL tactical units, a vehicle, a motorcycle and improvised explosive device cluster, the Central Command said.
Meanwhile, Russia has also continued its air campaign against the Islamic State in Syria, commenced on September 30 at the request from Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Russian combat aircraft deployed in Syria have conducted some 670 missions in the country and destroyed over 450 IS targets, the Russian General Staff said Friday. It added that the majority of ISIL militants in Syria are demoralized, and many are deserting.
