BEIJING (Sputnik) — French President Francois Hollande is expected to visit China at the beginning of December, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said Monday.
"At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, French President Francois Hollande will make an official visit to China on December 2-3," Hua Chunying said at a briefing.
In March 2014, Xi made a historic visit to France devoted to the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
During the visit, France and China signed 50 commercial contracts worth 18 billion euros ($19.8 billion at current exchange rates). The two sides agreed to continue developing comprehensive strategic dialogue.
