MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian, German and French experts have arrived at the A321 crash scene in the Sinai Peninsula to investigate the causes of the crash, a representative of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said Sunday.
"The Interstate Aviation Committee experts have arrived at the crash scene by helicopter, a group consists of Egyptian, French, German and Russian experts, as well as the representative of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Egypt," the source said.
According to the source, the experts examine large pieces of the aircraft wreckage and take the necessary samples.
At the moment, the base camp of the Russian Emergencies Ministry continues working in Sinai.
On October 31, an Airbus A321 operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia crashed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. All 224 people on board were killed. The crash has become the largest civil aviation disaster in Russian and Soviet history.
