MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On November 3, French President Francois Hollande personally invited President Putin to attend the 21st UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, from November 30 through December 11.
"We will tell you. The issue is on the agenda. We are working it out," Peskov told reporters.
Participants of the conference will discuss global warming and ways to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. Its main goal is to sign a global deal on climate change to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
The international treaty failed to introduce stricter regulations for developing countries, and was never ratified by the United States, one of the world’s leading greenhouse gas emitters.
