MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian security agencies on Saturday beefed up security across the country after a string of terrorist attacks in Paris, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) said Saturday.
"Relevant state agencies are taking necessary measures to protect citizens from terrorism," NAC said in a statement. "In light of the new threats, the entire national security network has been put on high alert."
French President Francois Hollande said that 127 people died and many more were injured on Friday night after gun and bomb attacks hit seven venues around Paris.
