MANILA (Sputnik) – Russia and Peru discussed ways to boost economic cooperation in general and in travel industry in particular at the bilateral meeting on ministerial level in Manila, Russian Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukaev said Monday.
Ulyukaev met with Peru's Minister of Foreign Commerce and Tourism Magali Silva on the sidelines of APEC Ministerial Meeting earlier in the day.
"Our turnover [with Peru] did not fall, and even slightly increased…. We have increased the import of fish and fruit. We talked a lot about it, about ways to further boost tourism," Ulyukaev told reporters.
He added that the sides also discussed the 2016 presidency of Peru in APEC.
