PERM (Russia) (Sputnik) — Russian experts finished inspection of safety levels in the major Egyptian airports, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said Tuesday.
Earlier in November, Dvorkovich said that Russian specialists would carry out a safety audit in the Egyptian airports and prepare recommendations on how to improve security measures. This decision was made soon after the Russian A321 plane crashed in Egypt.
He added that the Egyptian side agreed on participation of Russian experts in the control procedures in country's airports if necessary.
On October 31, Russian-owned Airbus A321 with 224 people on board crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, leaving no survivors. According to Russian Federal Security Service head Alexander Bortnikov, the plane crashed because of the terrorist act.
