MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Two teenagers and an adult were convicted of the crime, but Yosef Haim Ben David, the adult defendant, cannot officially be found guilty until an insanity plea is reviewed, the Haaretz newspaper said.
In July 2014, 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir was abducted in Israel-occupied East Jerusalem. His burned body was later found in another part of the city.
The three Israelis confessed to the crime and reenacted it, the newspaper added. They said Abu Khdeir’s murder was committed to avenge the deaths of three Israeli teens that had been abducted and killed in the West Bank.
